Established in 2021, The Edison Downtown is a brand-new wedding and event venue located on Broadway in downtown Schenectady, NY. The venue is exclusively owned and catered by Seasons Catering. The name The Edison is an homage to Thomas Edison, who came to Schenectady to start up Edison Machine Works and merge it with the Edison General Electric Company in 1889. Eventually, Edison’s building became the home of the Schenectady Gazette.
